Mamoudzou Sud highschool, Mayotte

The Mamoudzou Sud high school project is preparing the urban development of an agricultural site in a context of strong demographic pressure. The very steep slope, the seismic context and the landscaping issues guided the design in order to smoothly register this large equipment and offer guides for future development operations in the area: visual openings, limitation of sizes, insertion into the closer to the slope of the natural terrain. The materials exploit the local possibilities of using organic and geo-sourced resources, with the objective of contributing to the constitution of local production lines.
